Las Olas Beach Resort Panama

During our visit to the gorgeous country of Panama we stayed at the Las Olas Resort which is located south of David in the Chiriqui Province for seven days. We had a good sized room with a balcony that was overlooking the ocean which provided us with a calming atmosphere. The rooms were clean and the room service was great.

We particularly enjoyed the fact that this Panama Resort was located on a long stretch of beach known as the Barqueta Beach. Although the waves were too powerful for us to swim we enjoyed walking on the beach for miles and watching the surfers who enjoyed the fabulous waves. The sights along the way were splendid.

The reason we chose this hotel was for the gorgeous warm climate in that area. The weather is just fabulous, if you go during the right months. We went in March. The warm tropical climate was ideal and the Las Olas Resort offers many activities including a small preserve where you can hike and see many different species of birds, and monkeys. The pool was great and not over-crowded—we enjoyed it very much. It was so relaxing.

Overall I’d rate this hotel 4 Stars. The staff was very friendly and helpful and most of the staff spoke some English, so it was easy to communicate. The large rooms featured two queen beds, air conditioning, full bathroom with shower and hair dryer, mini bar, tv, radio and telephone.

We love to eat and we wondered about the menu. To our surprise it was great. The food was delicious and they served many fish and beef dishes with rice and veggies.
