Torres de Alba Hotel Panama

Torres de Alba Hotel Panama is the best hotel for the money in the El Cangrejo area as far as we are concerned. We stayed at several other hotels in the area, paid more money and got less. Unlike other hotels we had a full kitchen and we prepared a lot of our own meals. If we had to eat every meal out, that would have cost us a fortune. My husband and I went with two teenage boys and this provided a homey feeling for them. Every time they got hungry they just made something. We shopped at the conveniently located El Rey which is a huge grocery store opened 24 hours a day.

Canal was awesome. The boys loved it and our tour guide was great. Needless to say that was one of the most exciting tours we have ever taken as a family.

If we had to rate this panama hotel we would give it a 5 star, even though it is not a super plush hotel (that was not what we were looking for) we wanted something comfortable and homey and we could not afford to pay big bucks for a plush hotel.

The rooms were large and as I already mentioned came with a large equipped kitchen with full sized appliances. There was a 20” flat screen tv in the living room with a connection in the bedroom for our convenience. The boys loved the gym and said the equipment was ample. The entire staff was excellent from the time we arrived to the time we left. The rooms were kept very clean and the maids even did the dishes.
We all sat daily by the poolside, usually early in the morning and it wasn’t crowded at all.
The area itself was very busy something always going on, so we felt safe. We heard from the locals that it is in fact a safe area.

We certainly had a great time and would come back again as a family. P.S. the nightlife was awesome—my husband and I enjoyed the fine restaurants and took in a couple of shows.
