Retire in Aguadulce

Although there are parts of Panama which are bustling business cities and there are regions which now cater to retired people and offer leisure activities, there are still parts of the country where agricultural work remains at the heart of the local community and one of the most important regions of Panama to do this is Aguadulce. The main produce of this part of Panama is sugar cane, which some view as ironic or aptly fitting given that the name can be translated roughly as sweet water. In all likelihood, the name is stood to stand for fresh water, as opposed to salt water, which sums up the nature of the water within the region.

Panama Real Estate

A potential key development which could have a massive impact on this region of Panama is the news that Toyota wants to start constructing a plant in the region and this could be seen as a positive attribute with the possible impact this may have on jobs and the local economy. As stated, this is traditionally viewed as an agricultural region of Panama and this provision of jobs and services is likely to have a cyclical effect on many aspects in the local community. Aguadulce offers a lot of quiet locations and great views but some people are concerned that there is not enough of a commercial presence in the area; so the addition of this outlet to the region should give the economy a well-needed strong boost which would in turn, be more enticing to real estate owners than it currently is now.

With a population of just under 20,000, Aguadulce has a sizable community and it is seen as the capital of the local region. With a strong sense of tradition and many exciting developments to come, there is little wonder that there is a popular real estate market within this section of Panama and if the development of the country continues apace, there is likely to be further demand for this great region in years to come.
