The Location of Cerro Azul Panama
Cerro Azul is located in the mountains along Panama’s Chagres National Park,
and just 35 minutes from Panama’s Tocumen International Airport and less than one hour from Panama City. On a clear day you have a spectacular view of both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, as well as tropical trees, plants and majestic birds. It is 2500 to 3000 feet above sea level with temperatures that range between 70 and 80 degrees. However, at night it may get very cool

Great Amenities Offered
Between the airport and Cerro Azul there is a modern shopping center with everything from fast food shops to supermarkets, to video stores and building supply outlets. They experience great medical care at Azul’s Paitilla Hospital, which is now working in alliance with the renown, John Hopkins Medical School, which is only 40 minutes away.
The road to Cerro is paved so the trip up into the mountains from the airport is smooth and fast, and as you turn off the highway and begin climbing, you will notice that no matter how hot the day is in the city or by the ocean, you are bound to feel the coolness as you drive up Cerro’s mountain into one of its perpetual cloud banks. |

You will drive by a small lake known as Goofy Lake that was built by a Swiss engineer. On the way to Cerro Azul there is also a railroad car that was brought up into the hills as a weekend house. You will like the way the houses are laid out on the mountainous terrain. They sit on top of mountains rather than down in the valleys. It allows for great views of the Chagres Natinal Park, and borders Lake Alajuela and the Panama Canal and Panama City. Behind Cerro Azul and in the opposite direction of the Canal, houses look out over the Darien Jungle. The beautiful large houses are well spaced and there is much privacy enjoyed by occupants.

There are many dirt roads for those of you who are interested in four wheeling or hiking that will take you into the Darien Jungle. There are also roads leading to San Blas, but these roads can only be taken during the dry season –December to April. However the ride is great—you go through virgin forest and end up in perfect blue tropical waters, which are surrounded by palm trees.
You can camp almost anywhere in this park and enjoy bird watching or, just spend a night in a tropical forest. These activities of getting in touch with nature are combined with visits to authentic indigenous villages of the Embera-Wounan tribe living in the park and who have preserved their way of living and their traditions
In short, Cerro Azul Panama is the perfect place to invest in, if you are looking for a quiet hideaway in Latin America that has all the modern conveniences that one would expect to find in a big city without the high prices; coupled with its breath-taking perfect year round temperatures, crystal clear mineral water, a flawless infrastructure, flowers, trees, and garden-like landscaping within its vast common area that is lovingly maintained year round.
